Improve the accuracy of your initial star alignments by plugging in the GPS module into your telescope’s drive base port. Celestron’s SkySync will link up and automatically download the exact time, date, longitude and latitude from one of many global positioning satellites.
You just plug it into your handset, so it uses the same power supply as your telescope’s navigation system. When setting up your GPS system, please ensure that you go to the Utilities menu of your telescope’s handset and enable GPS. Then when you go to enter the date and time on your telescope’s handset you’ll now see GPS Linking instead. It should only take about 15 seconds for the GPS to link up with the necessary satellites.
