Celestron’s Binoviewer allows you to look through your telescope with both eyes, simultaneously. In addition to decreasing eye fatigue from squinting, it gives you a much sharper image of what you are viewing, with your brain analyzing the information received by both eyes instead of just one. The binoviewer also has diopter scales for the sharpening the focus of the individual eyepieces, just like binoculars.
While any true stereo image of using a binoviewer with your telescope is eliminated after a distance of just over 15 meters away from the front of the telescope, people using this product will feel as if they are getting a semi-stereo view of the celestial objects they observe.
The Stereo Binocular Viewer is designed to work with Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCT) and many refracting telescopes. Each unit is quality control inspected for collimation and performance. Binoviewers require that you use two eyepieces (not included) of equal size and design for them to be effective.
