Sky-Watcher’s highly portable AZ5 Mount With Steel Tripod gives you a solid alt-azimuth mount with a 9kg (20lb) payload capacity and features Slow Motion Flexible Handles and clutches for both axis of movement. The mount head is easily removed to allow for a switch to an even heavier tripod for increased stability or a lighter mount for more portability. The saddle for attaching telescopes is designed for a standard 45mm diameter dovetail bar. It’s also a great mount for terrestrial viewing. The accessory tray it comes with does double duty in adding stability to the mount, by locking the width of the tripod legs.
